Tour Schedule
Day 1 -
Kabul City to Paghman and Qargha Water Dam
Pick up
from your Hotel Kabul Serena or another location in Kabul City. The driver will
take you to Paghman, the attractive district of Kabul province via a 1-hour
drive. After arriving in Paghman, start your tour by visiting Taq e Zafar.
Local hotels are wonderful places to have lunch with various Afghan food. After
eating lunch our tourist guide will book tickets to visit Paghman Hill Castle.
It is very fascinating to see the architecture and historical monuments. The
natural amazing view in the garden will not let you leave the site till late
sunset in the area.
Day 2 -
Kabul to Ghazni
Freshen up and get ready to explore the monuments of Ghazni which is notable for its historic sites and significant cultural heritage. It was declared as the Asian Capital of Islamic Culture by ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 2013. Citadel of Ghazni, Minarets of Ghazni, Palace of Sultan Masud III.
Day 3 -
Ghazni local sightseeing
With the start of the new day in Ghazni, our tourist guide will take you to the Tomb of Sebuktigin, the Mausoleum of Sultan Mahmud, the Mausoleum of Sanai, Tapa Sardar & Museum of Islamic Art. Ghazni was declared as the Asian Capital of Islamic Culture by ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 2013.
Day 4 -
Ghazni to Kandahar
After breakfast, start the breathtaking trip of about four hours from Ghazni city to Kandahar province. Our driver will have some stops on the way to get out of the car to feel the calm of nature and the amazing topography of southern Afghanistan alongside the ring road of the country. The tour guide will let you know that you are passing through incredible cultural areas untill you reach the second-largest city in Afghanistan.
Day 5 - A
day in Kandahar
Our guide
will lead you to visit Chehil Zena “Forty Steps” and the remnants of Naranj
Palace at a fair time during the day because days are hotter in Kandahar during
the summer. He will also take you to the shrine of Emperor Ahmad Shah Abdali,
the founder of current Afghanistan, and the shrine of Mirwais Khan Hotak, who
defeated Iranian invader George XI, known as Gurgin Khan. Overnight stay is full of pleasure at any
point in the city particularly Aino Meena, the newly founded modern town in
Kandahar province.
Day 6 -
Kandahar to Herat
After breakfast check out from the NFC hotel and drive to the ruins of a castle built before Alexander the Great passed through the area next to the Helmand River in Lashkar Gah, the capital city of Helmand, Afghanistan. As soon as we finish the visit from this site our trip will begin to Herat province. On arrival, check in at Arg Hotel or another modern hotel.
Day 7-
Sightseeing of Herat City
The first-day tour within Herat City will start from Herat Historical Large Mosque, The Citadel of Herat also known as the Citadel of Alexander, locally known as Iktyaruddin Qala, is located in the center of Herat City in Afghanistan. It dates back to 330 BC when Alexander the Great and his army arrived in what is now Afghanistan after the Battle of Gaugamela.
Day 8 -
Another day in Herat
At the
start of the second day, you will visit the complex ruins consisting of the
five Musallah Minarets of Herat, the Mir Ali Sher Navai Mausoleum, the Gawhar
Shad Mausoleum, and the Malan Bridge. These wonderful human-made structures
will enhance the existence of a great era in this section of Afghanistan.
Considering the schedule we also plan to take our respected guests to some
gardens if they were visiting during the summer.
Day 9 -
Departure of Herat for Mazar-i-Sharif
On the way
to Mazar-i-Sharif, we will visit three provincial centers such as Qala-e-Naw of
Badghis, Meemana of Faryab, and Sheberghan of Jozjan. On the other hand, the
terrain, natural structures, and beauty of these areas will be memorial and
will not be forgotten forever. After every stop for sightseeing the wonderful
nature of these locations will not let you leave soon. Eventually, after a long
journey, you will reach Mazar-i-Sharif, the city is also home to numerous
museums, bazaars, and other cultural attractions that offer a glimpse into the
region rich history and traditions.
Day 10 -
Visiting the Blue Mosque and local sightseeing
In the
morning you will visit the Blue Mosque known as the most remarkable
architectural gem in Afghanistan and considered to be the holiest shrine. It
stands as a testament to Afghanistan rich cultural heritage and Islamic
traditions. The interior of the mosque features spacious prayer halls,
intricate calligraphy, and ornate decorations, creating an awe-inspiring
atmosphere for worshipers and tourists alike.
Day 11 -
To visit the ruins of Balkh and other historical sites
Balkh
ruins: The ancient city of Balkh is located just 24 km outside Mazar-i-Sharif
and is considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world. The ruins of the
city include the remains of ancient palaces, temples, and fortifications. Tepe
Rustam is an ancient fortress located just south of Mazar-i-Sharif province. It
was built by Alexander the Great and is said to have been the site of his
coronation as the King of Asia.
Day 12 -
Leave Mazar-i-Sharif for Ibak the provincial center of Samangan
One of the
lesser-known curiosities of Afghanistan is a Buddhist monastery which is called
Takht-i-Rustam, built into solid stone, with a square building above,
Takht-e-Rustam is named after a hero from Persian mythology (Rostam), and dates
from from the 4th-5th centuries.
Day 13 -
After leaving Samangan
Before
arriving in Kabul there are plenty of natural beauties to see, various types of
fresh fruits to eat and handicrafts for wearing, utensils, pottery products,
and many more to buy and decorate your home. More Kabul historical sightseeing
such as Babur Garden, Zanburak Shah Wall, the National Museum, and National
Gallary that we may have missed earlier in the tour (flight time depending).
