Description
Dream Vacation Kandahar
Kandahar is home to one of the world oldest human settlements, the stronghold of Alexander, and the birthplace of a major fortified city. Searching in Islamic sources, the Gandharians settlements on the banks of the Arghistan were from this Kandahar. It remained a significant urban center and an important trading hub that connected trade routes between the South Asian subcontinent, Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Persian Gulf. Kandahar is situated in the middle of a fertile plain and the rivers around it carry plenty of water.

Itinerary
This FIVE DAYS
tour will let you explore the historical sites in Kandahar province, which date
back thousands of years from now. Besides that, you would know more about the
heroes from Kandahar who had established empires in Afghan history. The
societal situation, culture, tasty fresh fruits, and dry fruits are another
wonderful story to realize, think, and test in Kandahar.
Day 1 - Arrive in Kandahar City
Our company
representative will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your Kandahar
hotel. Upon early arrival, start your tour by visiting, the mausoleum of Afghan
monarch Ahmad Shah Durrani (1747-1772). It is located in Kandahar, Afghanistan,
and is associated with significant events in the region political and cultural
history, as well as the history of Islam in general. The
late-eighteenth-century brick-and-tile monument houses the Durrani mausoleum,
originally Ahmad Shah Abdali. Durrani was the founder of the Durrani Empire
and, by most accounts, the present state of Afghanistan. It also has the
tombstones of his children. The tomb is part of a complex that includes the
Kherqa Sharif, which has a relic thought to be the Prophet Muhammad cloak and
is one of Afghanistan holiest Islamic shrines.
Day 2 - A day in Kandahar
In the morning
after having breakfast our tour guide will take you to the shrine of Mirwais
Khan Hotak, who defeated Iranian invader George XI, known as Gurgin Khan in
1709. He will also lead you to visit Chehilzena āForty Stepsā and the remnants
of Naranj Palace in the late afternoon because days are hotter in Kandahar
during the summer. Overnight stay is full of pleasure at any point in the city
particularly Aino Meena, the newly founded modern town in Kandahar province.
Day 3 - From Kandahar City to Mundigak
After breakfast
check out from the NFC hotel and drive to Mundigak prominence stems from its
status as a notable prehistoric settlement. Imagine a thriving community
stretching back to the fifth millennium BCE! In the 1950s, French archaeologist
Jean Marie Casal explored the site with careful care, exposing a mound that
previously stood nine meters tall. Interestingly, Mundigak was not an isolated
settlement. During the late third millennium BC, it communicated with distant
locations such as Turkmenistan, Baluchistan, and even the Early Harappan Indus
Valley, demonstrating ancient cultures interdependence. By the end of the day,
we drive you back to Kandahar City to another first-class hotel at the heart of
the city.
Day 4 - Visiting Shamshir Ghar (Cave of Sword)
In Afghanistan,
it is also known as the magical cave some people believe that anyone who enters
this cave will be stabbed in the neck with a sword hanging from the ceiling.
The story goes that one ofĀ Seyyed Hussain disciples, known as "Baba
Wali", entered the Sword Cave for disobeying his mentor order, but was
beheaded by a sword hanging from the ceiling of the cave.
It should be
noted that there are some non-scientific statements about Shamshir Ghar that
this cave ends up in a large area like a city, which has markets and houses.
However, there are stories that in the past, some people entered this cave for
adventure or to find treasure, but they did not return.
Day 5 - Going to Maiwand
Pick up from
accommodation in Kandahar City for visiting the famous village in Maiwand, a
sub-district of Kandahar province. It is known for the Battle of Maiwand which
occurred on July 27, 1880. Ayub Khan and Malalai beat a British brigade under
General Burrows. The British honored the battle with the Maiwand Lion sculpture
in Forbury Gardens, England. The Battle of Maiwand was one of the main battles
of the Second Anglo-Afghan War and ended in heavy defeat for the British.
Transfer to the
airport.
