Minaret of Jam
Jam Munara (in Pashto) is a graceful soaring structure 65 meters high from the ground built of baked bricks. It is a remnant of the Ghurid dynasty particularly the great Sultan Ghiyas-ul-din Ghurid (1153-1203) its emplacement probably marks the site of the ancient city of Feroz Koh, believed to have been the summer capital of the Ghurid dynasty.

The Itinerary
Day 1
Your first day at Herat will start with the local sightseeing of some historical sites in the city or maybe at the outer skirts of Herat city. Due to the high number of these sites, we will let our honorable guests select places from the following list:
Herat Historical Large Mosque, The Citadel of Herat also known as the Citadel of Alexander, locally known as Iktyaruddin Qala, The Minarets of Herat, the Mir Ali Sher Navai Mausoleum, the Gawhar Shad Mausoleum, the Malan Bridge.
Day 2
The Minaret is in a very isolated region surrounded by high mountains and connected to Herat by a poor and rough road. We will begin the trip in the early morning for Chist e Sharif a district of Herat province because we require a night stay at a local hotel till we reach the Minaret of Jam in the Shahrak district of Ghor province by the next day.
Day 3
After pickup in the morning from the local hotel in an air-conditioned private car, head out of Herat province and straight to Minaret of Jam, one of Ghurid monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built in the late 12th century. We will get there late so we will have a stay at the local hotel near the Minaret of Jam. In the fresh weather and clear atmosphere of the environment after breakfast, we will drive for just a few minutes to visit this historical heritage of Afghanistan.
Day 4
On the way back to Herat another night stay is needed in the Chist e Sharif of Herat which will be in the local hotel. You can visit the ruins of Ghurid period located on the central route through Afghanistan. The famous Sufi poet, Chisti was born there during the 12th century.
Day 5
In the morning our driver will take you to Herat for the last night of the Minaret of Jam tour. We will try to cover the remaining sightseeing in Herat City considering the tickets booked for the flight to leave Afghanistan.
